The radio program Pulse Of The Taxpayer will air it's final broadcast on Friday, January 30, 2009 on WOCA.  These podcasts, consequently, will also come to an end. 

Thank you all for your participation.  We have had a large following on the internet and appreciate all who have listened. 

The final date for new podcasts will also be Friday, January 30, 2009 although the archived programs will be available until February 2, 2009 on this site.  Other providers, such as I-Tunes, may choose to continue archiving the programs but that is not something we have control of.

Today, on Pulse Of The Taxpayer, our guest was Dennis Morgan from the Taxpayers Action Group of Marion County.  Dennis gave us a review of the meetings, guests, and discussions of TAG during 2008 and read letters of thanks and feedback that the group had composed to be sent to previous guests.  Dennis also spoke about the upcoming guests of 2009.  Listener participation also played a role in today's program.

Pulse Of The Taxpayer was mostly listener-driven today.  Mark Hankins, a "frequent listener", called in from the Presidential Inauguration Ceremony in Washington D.C. to give us a flavor of the event by way of his commentary and the sounds we could hear in the background.  Special thanks to Mark for allowing us to be in Washington vicariously through his presence as Barack Obama became the next President of the United States.

Today's Pulse Of The Taxpayer was an extended interview with Rabbi Richard Margolis of Temple Beth Shalom in Melborne, Florida.  Rabbi Margolis was called as a last minute fill-in for another guest who was unable to be on the air with us during the 9:30 - 10:00 slot of AM Ocala Live (the program which preceeds Pulse).  Rabbi Margolis agreed to remain with us for Pulse Of The Taxpayer to continue a discussion started during AM Ocala Live about the current crisis in the Middle East between Israel and Hamas.  BOTH segments are included on this podcast and, so, the beginning appears abrupt.  Pulse starts about 15 or 20 minutes into the podcast.
